30 Weeks

Feeling pretty large and in charge! This is probably due to the fact that I’m housing a linebacker. Our ultrasound last week showed that he is continuing to measure ahead of schedule (three weeks ahead, to be exact) and the ultrasound tech literally said the words, WHOA look at that melon, which are in no way reassuring to someone who has to get this melon-headed person out of her body <10 weeks from now.

Wearing all things elastic.

Beginning to understand what turtles must feel like when they land on their backs because that’s me, trying to get out of bed every morning. And roughly three times every night.

Organizing Little Brother’s room! Pulling all of Landon’s things out of storage and getting them ready for round two, and it puts my anxious heart at ease.

Craving orange and cream ice cream, Monster trail mix, and root beer. Really, any snack food will do.

Avoiding most seafood and late-night snacking in general because, heartburn.

Loving that we are almost into a single-digit countdown! My due date is still officially May 19th, but the general consensus is that I won’t have to wait that long. Hoping this nugget cooks as long as possible, but we’ll be full-term as of April 28 and I’m not really digging the idea of birthing some 9+ pound baby, so… take note, Alex.

Marveling at how insanely cool it is that a human being is growing inside me. All of the aches and pains and heartburn aside, it’s a pretty amazing thing 🙂
